More Vegas

We went out to Red Rock Canyon for horseback riding and to watch the sunset. It was magnificent. I was afraid I would fall off ( I hadn't been on a horse in 30 years) lol, I should not have worried. Bug did fine of course. She had a great time, in case you can;t tell by her grin? There was this one guy on the ride, great big fellow from L.A., hehehehehe had never been around animals at all let alone one that big. He didn't do to bad, but he was terrified, I hope his girlfriend doesn't ask him to do anymore riding soon tho. That would be just plain mean. The canyons and stars were just so wonderful. I could have stayed there the whole time and been happy. We had a great dinner out at the ranch before they took us back to our hotels.

The fountains at the Bellagio, were everything I had heard and more. However the show was alot shorter then I thought it would be. Their art gallery is outstanding, but, no pictures allowed, darn it!

We saw the pirate show at Treasure Island and it was better than the last time I saw it. To much to see tho to catch it all. The ships and all the goings on just to much.

The gondola ride at the Venetian is very nice, the pictures are way overpriced tho so we don't have one. Have a few of others on their rides, and one of our gondolier, very nice man with a very long name that started with a G, wish I had written it down, oh well.....
The Titanic exibit is the best I have seen. They have recreated some of the rooms for you to see, and also one of the private decks. I had to ask later if they had done something as I felt like I was moving, the girl in the shop said no but they got that question alot from poeple who spent alot of time on the water. I think it had to do with the music but not sure. I just know I felt as if the deck was moving. We got our picture at the grand staircase. (above) They also had a small iceberg for you to touch, it seems saltwater freezes differant. I can tell you it is a whole lot colder than ice-cubes!
Well I am gonna go work on scrapbboks now.

Madame Tussauds

Madame Tussauds was very interesting. I was suprised at how lifelike the figures really were. I have only uploaded a few (as normal I could really bore someone)

Melainie had to have a pic with Simon, of course Rick thought she should have slapped him,LOL. Carmen is such a tiny thing. All bones. But this is a good picture.
Elvis startled the daylights out of me. Seems they have a sensor and he starts siging when you get to close.Melainie thought that was way to funny.

And of course Bug had to have a pic with Abe Lincoln. She has done many projects and reports on him thru out school. Too bad they did'nt have Lewis and Clark. She did even more work on them. I have some pic's with Princess Diana, but frankly I look awful in them. The one with our President is ok but well we'll leave that one elsewhere also.
See I am trying to get better at this!!

Stephen Update

Fourteen months ( 10 if you count how early he was) He is walking , talking and off oxygen most of the time. He now weighs 24lbs. Heck of a long way from the starting weight of 1 lb 10 ozs!!! He has red hair and brown eyes humm......... I really have to scan some pics of his Daddy and my baby pics as well. Looks like a cookie cutter was involved here! I am soo grateful that God gave us such a miracle. It is hard to believe how well he is doing. So far he is on track and doing great.

Cactus Garden

We went to the Cactus Garden and Chocolate factory tours out in Henderson. I loved all the plants, not so crazy about the choco factory. Smelled to much like chocolate, hummmm now why is that? For Bug it was the opposite. I reallt wanted to bring home some of the aloe's and century plants, they were sooooo great! The Teddy bears were also really nice, why can't my plants look like that???? I could have spent all day there. Melainie wanted to catch some of the lizards, but.... they kept running off into the plants and of course you needed to stay on the pathways. Ornery little lizards. The average temp while we were in Vegas was 108 a day, I loved it however my poor lil duck didn't like it so well. But at least she would like to go back and see the things we did not have time for. There was just to much on our list and not enough time. Hope to go back again some day.

Las Vegas

Well vacation plans did not work out as planned, but..... We did go to Vegas and had a blast. And before you ask, I didn't win or lose, I don't gamble. There is to much to see and do to waste time and money on that.I am so lsow at updating this thing, I have lots of pics so I will wrok onthis slowly,LOL.
We of course had to have a picture with the Las Vegas sign. And let me clue you not easy to get. No place close to park and you and in the middle of two very busy roads ( tho I just noticed that our pic caught a lull in traffic)
Our first day there it RAINED! I think it followed us. Lightning also so of course the pool was closed. Tho it was pretty, no good pics of that, couldn't catch it. We stayed at the Stratosphere. Nice hotel. We were on the 12th floor. Tho we did go up to the veiwing deck we not go to the open air deck not to the top where the rides are. NO THANKYOU! The view was very big. I was not at all comfortable up there tho. I wanted down the minute the elevator doors opened. But I made myself walk around and look. BTDT don't need to go back. Bug was nervous but better than I was. Will post more later.
